January socks

Hi!!
I got my January Mystery socks done! I am so glad to be done with them. They were totally different than the way I am used to knitting socks. Top down and heel flap and stuff like that. I think they are pretty though and they feel good on my feet. They do fit well even though they look really big to me.

Have a great day!!
God Bless You!!

Stitc Markers

Hi!!
I just found these at Wal-Mart. I thought they would make great stitch markers. They are made out of shell and they are really smooth. They will probably come in handy when I get to knitting some lace shawls.

Have a great day!!
God Bless You!!

Conference Socks and more

Hi!!
These are the socks that I worked on while on my Conference trip with my Church. It took 5 hours to get there so I spent it knitting. We had a great time at the Conference. My Church was the wildest ones there. We always are. Jumping up and down praising the Lord. We did have a great time!

These are my sockdown January socks. I have some mess ups in the lace. I am just learning lace so I'm leaving it. I hate trying to pick up stitches after frogging a part. So onward I go.

Here is Where I am on my Crazy Socks made from scrap sock yarn. They are coming along too. I so much want to get all of these projects done. It is almost overwhelming to have them all three calling to me.
Have a great day!!
God Bless You!!

Conference

Hi!! I'm getting ready to go to a "Living in the Glory" Conference with my Church. It is somewhere in TN. It will take us 5 hours to drive there so I have some sock yarn and I am going to make what I call my Conference socks. I am making them from Knit Picks Dancing yarn. I don't know how much knitting I will get done. Our Church is pretty wild and not at all quiet or calm. Everybody is really loving though. I will be back Sunday or Monday.
Have a great day!!
God Bless You!!

Star Afghan

Hi!!
I got the star afghan done! Ready now to send to my Niece.

As you can see Rosie had to just hop up there and get into the picture. It really surprised me because she is scared of clicking sounds. Maybe the camera has a different kind of click. That or she thinks the Afghan is hers. Anyway now I am back to knitting my crazy socks and my sockdown January socks. I am going to a Conference with my Church this weekend so I may put another sock on the needles that has some mindless knitting to it. Get some knitting done in the hotel between services and on the 5 hour trip. I have just too many ideas of all the thing I want to make and I just know that I can't do them all at once like I want to. I knit one thing thinking oh I want to knit that other thing. What a mind full of projects I have. Hmmm.

Knitting

Hi!!
I got my Son's Hat done!
I am putting the pattern here so that I can list it in Ravelry.

I used size 9 - 24" circular needles for this project.
Gage is 3 STS per inch, 5 rows per inch
I used Red Heart Super Saver Acrylic yarn.
You can use any Worsted weight yarn that you desire to.

Cast on 70 stitches and connect into a circle. Knit till your work is about an inch long then
K7 Inc1 around row till you get 80 stitches in one round.
then K around till your project is 2 inches long. then double your yarn and K till your project is 22 inches long. Drop one of the strands of yarn so that you are now knitting with a single strand of yarn. Knit with single strand for an inch then K7 Dec1 around till you have 70 stitches around.
K around till our project is a total of 24" long. Bind Off.

Take a long strand of yarn, and fold the hat in half putting the two ends together use the yarn to weave through the stitches of both ends and pull tight. There will still be a little hole in the top so tie the yarn off and sew the hole closed from both sides of the hat.

Note: You can Cast On what ever amount of stitches you want according to how big or small the head you are making the hat for.

Have a great day!!
God Bless you!!

Knitting

Hi!!

I got my Yarn Swift in the mail yesterday!! I think it is really cute. I wanted one that didn't clamp to a table. I want to order a ball winder and a new zippered needle case from Knit Picks but they are out of stock. The needle case won't be there till Feb. 5th. I already have one but it is bursting at the seams with my Options needles in it and all my other circular needles in it too. So I plan to get another and use one for the Options and the other for the Circular needles.

Above are the socks that I started using leftover sock yarns. I will probably have to make several pairs to use up all of the leftovers that I have.
I am also planning on trying the January Mystery sock in Ravelry Sock knitters anonymous. I ordered my yarn today for it. I have never done the lace before so this will be new to me.

Above is the hat that I am making for my son. He had one that I made years ago but lost it at College and now that it is cold he really misses that warm hat. So I am quickly trying to get another one knitted up for him.

Have a great day!!
God Bless You!!

Hi!!
Well here are the second pair of Father Son Socks. I finally got them done.

When I looked at the yarn in the store I thought they would be more camouflaged but they came out stripy. I still think hey are neat. I was also hoping to get them done for Christmas but I guess better late than never!

In my previous post someone asked me the name of our new Bassett Hound. Her name is Rosie. My husband wanted to name her that and when we talked to the lady that gave her to us it so happened that was what her name was.

Now back to socks. I was just thinking about the first pair of socks that I knit. It was in February 07. I have done about 20 or more pair (counting baby booties) since that time. It is hard to believe I have made that many in a years time. Could be this next year I will make more than 20.

Have a great day!!
God Bless you!!
