Well I finally got the Tiger Socks done for my son Jonathan. He has big legs so they look really big. I already know that they will fit him because we tried them on as I was knitting.

Now to other projects.

Hi!!
I just got back from being out of state again. We went to Ohio for a wedding. On my trip I made 7 pair of baby booties but I gave four of them to my niece expecting a baby boy. She had to leave before I got the last 3 done so I brought them home and got this picture of them before I sent them to her in Colorado. I also sent her a sweet potato bread from Young's Dairy in Ohio. I brought some home to my daughters too. It is really good. I am working on a pair of tiger socks for my son. I tried them on him the other day and they seem to be doing fine. He said that they will be the most comfortable socks that he will have. He has a calf that is 18 inches around and he says that other socks get real tight there. I made these so they will fit his calf. I have just a couple of more inches to go to be done with them.

Hi!!
These are the two Shawl patterns that I have to try. I hope they are not too big a project for me. I have been knitting for years but I have only done Knit and Pearl. This last year I have made socks and did the heel turning. I have never done lace before. I rolled up the two hanks of yarn yesterday without the help of a yarn swift. WoW!! am I ready for a yarn swift! That lace yarn can tangle up so easy. I did get them rolled up but I broke the yarn in one place on one of them and the other one got a knot in it. But for 1200 yards of yarn I guess that isn't too bad. It also took me hours to roll them up.

Hi!!

I finally got the Tiger Socks done for my Son in law. I had to crochet 4 Afghans between the time I started them and getting them done. 3 for weddings and one I donated to a place where they provide them for very sick patients or people going through Chemo. I didn't get pictures of all of them. They were the same pattern as the one I have a picture on a previous blog entry. The outside colors were different but they were basically the same. Now to some Tiger Socks for my Son.

Yarn Crochet

Hi!!
I have been busy Crocheting lately, I saw a picture of an Afghan so I tried working out what I thought it looked like. And I went on a trip to Southern Maryland and went to Crazy for Ewe Yarn store in Leonardtown. I picked up some yarn made from Crab and Shrimp shells and some Bamboo and cotton yarn.

I got the first Afghan done! Now to the second one and to the post office to mail it and the baby booties.

Baby Booties

Hi!!
Well I have the baby booties done and now I'm working on the Afghans. Here is a picture of the booties. After doing these I am finally comfortable with turning heels and no longer have to look in the book to see what I need to do. I want to try making a couple of lace shawls so I ordered some lace weight yarn and a couple of patterns from Little Knits. They should be here soon.
