Hi!!
I am working on making as many baby socks as I can before Saturday when a lady at my church is having a baby shower. She is going to have a baby boy. I got the first pair done. Here is a picture of them so far. It seemed very hard because instead of doing toe up and short row heel , I followed a pattern for top down with flap heel. The pattern was for DPN's but I did them two at a time on my circular needles. Wow did I have a mess when trying to do the heels. The instructions told about what DPN needle to use instead of how many stitches. So there I was with tangled loop de loop circular needles trying to untangle them. By the time I got the heel done I had to go for a walk and take some deep breaths. It was totally hard but by some miracle I got them all untangled. Now I'm working on the second pair and I have an idea of how to keep from having such a tangled mess. At least on the first pair I could tell about where I needed to do the Gusset on the socks. Hopefully this second pair will go good. I did the Kitchener stitch just fine. I had seen many pictures on how to do it so that went pretty smoothly.
Have a great day!!
God Bless You!!

Hi!!
I finally got my Dear Hubby's socks done. It seems like it took forever. This is the first socks that I used a size 0 needle on. I knitted them toe up two socks at a time on two circular needles. I kept trying them on him as I went to make sure they were fitting. They kept looking big to me. Anyway I am so glad to have them done. Now I'm going to start on the tiger striped socks for my Dear Grandson. He is 2 years old and just loves trying on socks as I am knitting them.

Have a great day!!
God bless You!!

Knitting

Hi!!

Well I'm still working on the socks for my dear Hubby.
Here is a picture of my yarn stash for future socks. I probably have more than a years worth of knitting here. I just can't seem to get enough sock yarn.
The real colorful yarn on the left has already been claimed by my 3 year old granddaughter. She wants another pair of socks made out of it. The tiger stripe yarn in the middle is going to make a pair of socks for my 2 year old grandson. I bought 4 balls because the website I bought it from said it was being discontinued.

Have a great day!!
God Bless You!!

Gardening

Hi!!

Well the cold snap that we had totally froze out the Buartnut and Pecan trees. They look horrible. The Almond tree however held the almonds. YAY!!

I got my Cabbage, Kohlrabi and Cauliflower planted. My carrots and Dikon radishes and Swiss Chard are up. The leaf lettuce is ready to pick again. We had one batch of Asparagus before the cold froze it out. But is is slowly coming back.
I have peppers, tomatoes and Savory planted in little pots waiting on the weather to stop having a chance of frost.

Have a great day!!
God Bless You!!

Gardening

Hi!!
We had frost this morning. I had to get out there and spray off the plants before the sun hit them. It saves them from dying from the frost. I will have to find something to cover them in the next few nights. My Buartnut and Pecan trees are blooming. Here is what they look like. I hope they produce well this year.

Have a great day!!
God Bless You!!
