Ok!! So the Crochet Crowd on face-book is having a Crochet along. It is a Kaleidoscope Throw!!

So for some reason I started it. I guess it will become a Christmas present for someone. But anyway here is a picture of my start.

THe motifs get put together as you crochet along, so this will be interesting.

Otherwise I have been knitting a lot of scarves for Christmas presents too!! I wanted to do some lace scarves. So I went on a search and found some patterns and started at it. Then I wanted to try some Ruffly Scarves with that Ruffly yarn stuff. I found that they were way easier to crochet, than to knit them. So that is what I did!!

As you can see, I have been quite busy. My creative Juices are flowing again!!
God Bless You All!!

Picked Blackberries this morning!! Put them up in the freezer. My freezer is getting full of berries.

This field of yellow flowers is right outside my back door. The sun made them look really bright.

I have been knitting on socks lately. I have been trying to use up some of my scrap yarn so they have some interesting stripes on them.

Everyone have a great day!!
 God Bless You!!

Garden

Well I bought me a Fig tree and got it planted. and I planted my Tomatoes, Peppers and Eggplants today!!

I am planning on getting my squash and other seeds planted too!!
I plan this year to get some of the smaller herbs like Thyme, Marjoram and savory in pots to grow. I seem to lose them in the bigger garden because the weeds take over too much.

Knitting

I got Kaylee's Alligator Scarf done!!

Neon Yellow is her favorite color. I have some gardening and house cleaning to do today. Too much to do and not enough time in a day!!
I am also working on a baby afghan for my friend. She is going to have a grand-baby!!

I am using a baby yarn with a gold thread. so it will have gold sparkles all through it.

I finished Michael's afghan too!!

You all have a great day!!
God Bless You!!

I know it has been a while again!!
I have been going to our local public Library for the knitting and Crochet group. It is great to talk with the ladies!!
I am working on a Granny Square Afghan for my Nephew for his wedding.
And I am also working on another Alligator scarf for my Granddaughter. She asked for one in Neon Yellow.

I just love how the alligator starts forming as you knit!!
Have a great day!!
God Bless You!!

A new recipe that my family really likes!!

Chicken Taco Soup

ingredients:
  • 2 leftover Roasted Chickens and Broth
  • 1 Medium Onion diced
  • 2 Cans Black Beans (one can be a tri bean blend)
  • 1 bag frozen Corn
  • 1 Can Green Beans
  • 1 can Rotel’
  • 1 package Ranch Dressing
  • 1 package Taco Seasoning
I roast my chickens with Parsley, Garlic Powder, Sage, Marjoram, Thyme, and onion flakes. I put a Chicken Bouillon Cube in the water with the chicken. I mention this because these herbs will be in the soup through the broth.  I save the broth and leftover chicken and freeze it for later to make soup.  I also look in my refrigerator and find leftover vegetables and add them to the soup too. I take the broth from the 2 chickens and I boil it down some to make the flavors stronger. Then I put all the ingredients in the crock pot and put it on high or medium (4-5 hours).
