Here is how I turn the heels on my socks both at the same time. I use stitch holders to hold the slipped stitches across both socks. It makes it much less confusing to me to do it this way and I also get both heels turned at the same time. These are a pair of socks for my Dear Husband. I tried them on his feet and they seem to be fitting perfectly.

Congrats on finishing your husbands socks. My hubby says mine are too hot for him; maybe I will try 2.75mm or 3 instead of the size zeros.
